Busy times at Mivanor – Testing three new units

This week, Mivanor is conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) on three MivaMag™ units before they are shipped to customers in Eastern and Western Norway. The tests are a vital part of quality control and are carried out at our facilities in Sandnes.
– ENSURING QUALITY AND RELIABILITY
FAT involves a thorough inspection of each plant, both mechanically and electrically, to ensure they meet the technical specifications and performance requirements agreed upon with the customer.
The tests also provide an opportunity to detect and correct any issues before the systems are transported and installed.
– FAT is important to ensure quality and operational reliability. It gives both us and the customer confidence that the system will work as intended, says Robert Tarasz, Technical Manager at Mivanor.
STRONG INTERNAL COLLABORATION IS KEY
MivaMag™ is a proprietary solution for treating wastewater from industrial activity. The technology is based on magnetic particle separation, where magnetite is used to bind sludge and particles, which are then separated from the water. The method provides efficient treatment and can be adapted to various types of industrial wastewater.
The units are currently being finalized are to be delivered to customers across different industries with varying needs.
– When multiple units are tested and prepared in parallel, it places high demands on planning, capacity, and quality at all stages. It highlights the importance of a structured production process and strong internal collaboration, says Robert.
A GROWING DEMAND FOR TREATMENT SOLUTIONS
The three units undergoing FAT are part of increasing production activity at Mivanor. Demand for industrial water treatment is currently on the rise, and the company has several upcoming deliveries planned.
Each project is customized to meet specific requirements for treatment efficiency, capacity, and operating conditions for each individual customer.
